The dinner ride was so much fun! We rode our horses to the Rose's land (a.k.a lower ranch) to eat dinner! We had BBQ, chicken, steak, shrimp and more! They had home-made cornbread which was divine! The little kids went on a hay ride so all the adults could eat in peace before the kids came back. But once Vann and Maggie came back they ate and then we had pie! They had about six or seven different kinds of pie for us to try! I had strawberry rhubarb...which was wonderful! After desert, we went to watch the "run of the horses". They took off all the saddles on the horses and two or three wranglers lead them into the pasture for the night. It was very pretty. Dad, Mom, Sarah Hayden, and I went on the hay ride to go see the old school house. This school house operated from 1928-1948. It had been totally destroyed but the General Manager had taken on the project to restore it completely. Most of the materials in the school house were the original ones. It was very cool and interesting! We did not ride the horses back because they spent the night in the pasture. So we rode the van back to our cabin! Last night was very fun but we were all very tired when we got home! We just finished breakfast and we are going white water rafting today! We are so excited!
Love,
Douglas
