Early Morning Rides + Late Night Rides= PERFECT DAY

Our day started off bright and early with a breakfast ride! Our legs and backs were very sore today when we woke up! The breakfast ride began at 7 am. We all got on our horses and split into our groups with our family. Ditto (my horse) was a sweet angel today! I love her...Im sort of obsessed and want to take her home. The ride to the breakfast site was kind of long about two hours there. But it was all worth it! The food was incredible...especially from it being cooked over a camp fire! We had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt, bagels, and so much more! After we filled up on the yummy food we headed back to the ranch and arrived around 11:30. Once we got back, not that my legs were killing or anything but I went on a run anyway. It was so much better than the weather I run in at home in Alabama. We all ate a great lunch but then headed back to the cabin for a little snooze. I told Vann to wake me up when he wanted to go to the pool and I would take him (bad mistake on my part). I was in bed for maybe 15 minutes tops and he comes in all dressed and ready to go swimming. But being the good sister I am I got ready and we went to the pool! The idea was to go early to beat the rush of Kids Camp that comes around 3. We played in the pool then we got candy flavored milkshakes to drink by the pool. Im not quite sure what my parents and the twins did tonight...because we werent with them. Sarah Hayden and I went on the Teen Dinner Ride. We had a ton of fun! Once we arrived on our horses..the guys were already grilling out! We didnt just have hamburgers we had...BISON burgers! They were soooo good! After dinner comes desert! Every good camp fire has to have smores! We roasted marshmallows which turned into a mouth catching marshmallow contest! After we ran out, we sang some good ole camp fire songs! The weather was perfect, we just had so much fun! Around 8:15ish we got the horses ready and headed back to the ranch! My horse along with Kelsey and Haleigh's horses were in the back being slow as we chit-chatted. When the rest of the group started loping my horse decided to take the path less traveled...and got us sort of lost! But we found our way back and made it in time with the other horses! I gave my horse a kiss(which vann and maggie think is strange) and headed up to the lodge to relax! This is probably the best vacation ever!
Funny Quote of the Day: Boy: Where are you from?
Vann: Alabama
Boy: So where did you learn to speak English?
*also people in my group are starting to say yall, they like our southern accents!
Love,
Douglas
